DeltaPrime, Ramses, and Morpho Breached via Unchecked Input, Reward Logic Bugs, and Oracle Mispricing

DeltaPrime lost $4.8M after failing to validate debt repayment in swapDebtParaSwap(), letting attackers drain collateral without settling loans. Ramses Exchange was hit for $93K after its FeeDistributor contract failed to limit reward claims per token ID. Morpho Protocol’s $230K loss came from a 12-decimal misconfig in its PAXG/USDC oracle, grossly inflating collateral value.

In Brief

  • DeltaPrime was exploited for $4.8M due to unchecked user input.
  • Ramses Exchange lost $93K due to a vulnerability in its reward tracking system.
  • Morpho Protocol lost $230K due to a misconfigured Oracle Price setup.

Hacks Analysis

DeltaPrime | Amount Lost: $4.8M

On November 11th, the DeltaPrime exploit on Arbitrum and Avalanche chains resulted in a $4.8M loss. The root cause of the exploit was a flaw in the swapDebtParaSwap() function. The function failed to ensure that borrowed tokens were properly repaid, allowing _repayAmount to remain 0. The attacker initiated the exploit with a 59.9 ETH flash loan, used it as collateral to borrow 1.18 WBTC, and transferred the borrowed WBTC to a malicious contract via a swap. Since no repayment occurred, the attacker retained their original collateral while profiting from the borrowed tokens.

Ramses Exchange | Amount Lost: $93K

On October 24th, the Ramses Exchange exploit on Arbitrum resulted in a $93K loss. The root cause of the exploit was a flaw in the FeeDistributer contract’s reward distribution logic. The attacker claimed rewards multiple times using different token IDs, bypassing reward limits. This was possible because the private _getReward() function failed to properly track rewards for each token ID, specifically in the tokenTotalSupplyByPeriod and veWithdrawnTokenAmountByPeriod values.

Morpho Protocol | Amount Lost: $230K

On October 13th, the Morpho Protocol exploit on the Ethereum mainnet resulted in a $230K loss. The attack exploited the PAXG/USDC market due to a misconfiguration in the Oracle Price setup. The deployer mistakenly set both tokens to 8 decimals instead of accounting for USDC’s 6 decimals and PAXG’s 18 decimals. This caused a 12-decimal inflation, overvaluing PAXG by a factor of 10¹². The attacker exploited this by supplying $350 worth of PAXG to borrow 230,000 USDC.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

In Brief

  • Remitano suffered a $2.7M loss due to a private key compromise.
  • GAMBL’s recommendation system was exploited.
  • DAppSocial lost $530K due to a logic vulnerability.
  • Rocketswap’s private keys were inadvertently deployed on the server.

Huobi  |  Amount Lost: $8M

On September 24th, the Huobi Global exploit on the Ethereum Mainnet resulted in a $8 million loss due to the compromise of private keys. The attacker executed the attack in a single transaction by sending 4,999 ETH to a malicious contract. The attacker then created a second malicious contract and transferred 1,001 ETH to this new contract. Huobi has since confirmed that they have identified the attacker and has extended an offer of a 5% white hat bounty reward if the funds are returned to the exchange.
